Standard First Aid

This workshop is a comprehensive and interactive training program that equips participants with essential life-saving skills through hands-on practice and real-world scenarios. Participants will learn how to recognize and respond to medical emergencies—including cuts, burns, fractures, breathing difficulties—as well as perform CPR, use an AED, and provide effective wound care. Upon completion, participants will be certified in Standard First Aid and leave feeling confident and prepared to act quickly in emergency situations.

Wilderness First Aid

This program is designed for community members who want to connect with the land while developing essential first aid and survival skills for wilderness and remote outdoor settings. Participants will learn practical techniques such as shelter-building, safe water treatment, CPR, and bandaging to help stay safe and respond effectively in emergencies. Those who successfully complete the training will receive an Advanced Wilderness First Aid certification.

Compassion Fatigue

This workshop is designed for adult community members who dedicate themselves to helping others and want to maintain their own well-being in the process. Participants will gain tools to recognize the signs of compassion fatigue, understand its impact, and develop strategies for self-care and resilience through interactive discussions, guided reflections, and practical exercises. Whether experiencing burnout or simply seeking to strengthen their ability to care for others while staying well themselves, participants will leave with valuable insights and support.

Crisis Intervention

This workshop is for community members seeking to develop the skills needed to respond effectively to various crises while maintaining their own well-being. Through practical training and guided discussions, participants will learn how to assess crises, de-escalate tense situations, and provide immediate, compassionate support. Participants will build essential skills through hands-on training in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as the basic computer skills needed to troubleshoot problems and operate their computers more effectively and independently.

Reporting for Duty

This specialized training is designed for program coordinators and managers seeking to establish efficient organizational systems in the workplace. Upon arrival in the community, the facilitator will assess the most effective approach to improving data collection, entry processes, and overall structure, often focusing on developing custom document templates, protocols, and reporting systems. The workshop may also include training in specific computer programs, such as Excel, to build practical skills and support long-term organizational success.
